Terms & Conditions

1. Purpose

At Total Loss NW, we are committed to providing accurate, well-supported, and professionally developed total loss appraisals. As part of our commitment to transparency and client confidence, we offer a Money-Back Guarantee under the terms described below.

2. Guarantee Summary

If the independent appraisal process does not result in an increase equal to or greater than the cost of your appraisal, we will refund your appraisal fee in full.

This guarantee exists solely as a customer satisfaction assurance and is not contingent upon or influenced by the outcome of any claim, settlement, or negotiation.

3. Eligibility

This guarantee applies only when:

  • The client has paid for a Total Loss Appraisal conducted by Total Loss NW.
  • The claim proceeds through the formal appraisal clause process, including participation by both appraisers and, if applicable, an umpire.
  • The final settlement amount (exclusive of taxes, fees, or unrelated payouts) does not reflect an increase at least equal to the appraisal fee above the insurer’s final pre-appraisal offer.

4. Exclusions

This guarantee does not apply if:

  • The client withdraws, abandons, or settles the claim before the appraisal process is completed.
  • The claim is resolved outside of the appraisal clause (e.g., through litigation, arbitration, or direct negotiation).
  • The insurer refuses to participate or acts in bad faith, preventing completion of the appraisal process.
  • The vehicle title, ownership, or valuation history is misrepresented or withheld by the client.
  • The appraisal is for diminished value, repair disputes, or other non–total loss claims.

5. No Financial Interest Disclaimer

Total Loss NW operates as a neutral, independent appraisal service.
We do not accept any contingent or outcome-based compensation and do not hold any financial interest in the final claim amount.

This guarantee is not a promise of a specific result, nor does it represent a contingency fee arrangement. It is offered solely as a goodwill refund policy to ensure fairness and transparency in our business practices.

6. Refund Process

If the conditions of this guarantee are met:

  1. The client must submit a written refund request within 30 days of receiving the final appraisal award or settlement.
  2. Total Loss NW will review the documentation to verify eligibility.
  3. Upon verification, the full appraisal fee will be refunded to the original payment method within 10 business days.

7. Limitation of Liability

Total Loss NW’s liability under this guarantee is strictly limited to the refund of the appraisal fee paid.
No additional damages, interest, or consequential losses shall be recoverable under this policy.

8. Revision & Termination

Total Loss NW reserves the right to modify or discontinue this guarantee at any time without prior notice. Any changes will not affect guarantees applicable to appraisals initiated before the date of change.

9. Acceptance

By commissioning an appraisal through Total Loss NW, the client acknowledges that they have read, understood, and agree to these terms and conditions.
